Les Jamelles wines (Ле Жамель) were first introduced to the market in 1991 by Ekaterina and Laurent Delon – young winemakers from Burgundy, descendants of a family that has been involved in winemaking for four generations. After working in California, the young couple returned to their homeland, where they fell in love with the charm of the South of France. They were drawn to the vast variety of terroirs and areas with different microclimates. For several years, Ekaterina and Laurent traveled throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region. They identified the best terroirs for each specific grape variety, met with grape growers, and offered them cooperation in producing complex, well-balanced wines that reflect the grape's varietal characteristics.
According to the contracts signed, the grapes grown by the producers are vinified on-site in close proximity to the vineyards. Under the guidance of Les Jamelles' experts, modern winemaking methods are constantly adapted to the specific features of each wine and the individual characteristics of the harvest. Ekaterina Delon is one of the few women who have devoted their lives to wine and passionately love their profession. During the grape ripening period, she regularly visits the estates that work closely with the company, monitors the vinification and aging processes of the wines. The final decision on the wine blend is also made by Ekaterina, who is responsible for the quality of all the production.
The wines created by the talented winemakers of Les Jamelles convey the unique charm of the largest wine-producing region in France. Thanks to this, the company's wines quickly found their consumers in various countries around the world, and their high quality and unique character have been repeatedly praised by the press and received high ratings from critics.
